About This Project

The cabinetry features an elegant, traditional panelled design, finished in a soft, muted tone that coordinates seamlessly with the room’s overarching neutral aesthetic. Tall units and glazed upper cabinets provide balanced bespoke storage while framing the central sink area, creating a pleasing sense of symmetry and calm.

A substantial split-level peninsula anchors the custom kitchen design, functioning as both a practical preparation zone—complete with a built-in dark glass hob—and a casual dining space. The raised breakfast bar section, finished with classic tongue-and-groove panelling, politely conceals the functional cooking area from the wider room while seamlessly bridging the fitted kitchen and the adjoining open-plan living space.

Materials & Finishes

Soft-toned cabinetry is paired with striking marble-effect worktops and a continuous, full-height splashback, introducing organic movement and natural texture. Warm brass-finished handles and matching wall sconces add a touch of quiet luxury, while the distinctive wood-toned floor, laid in a complex geometric parquet pattern, brings significant warmth and subtle complexity to the light, airy scheme.

How We Worked

The visual success of this kitchen design relies heavily on its careful handling of proportion and subtle textural contrasts. Rather than relying on bold colour differences, the tailored design employs a sophisticated tone-on-tone approach, using variations of soft neutrals to create depth. By carefully integrating the large peninsula to define the working kitchen without closing it off, the layout encourages a natural, unforced flow into the adjacent areas, demonstrating the true value of a personalised bespoke kitchen approach.
