Use of This Website

By using this website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

The information provided on this website is intended to give general information about Opal Living, our bespoke kitchens, completed projects and related services.

We aim to keep the information on the website accurate and up to date. However, products, materials, finishes, specifications, availability and other details may change from time to time.

Nothing displayed on this website constitutes a binding quotation or contractual offer unless confirmed separately by Opal Living in writing.

Bespoke Kitchen Design, Supply and Fitting

Every kitchen project is individual and will be based on the customer’s property, requirements, measurements, agreed design and chosen specification.

Photographs of completed projects are provided to demonstrate examples of our work and for design inspiration. Colours, materials and finishes may appear differently depending on photography, lighting and individual screen settings.

The exact cabinetry, worktops, appliances, materials, finishes and services included within an individual project will be confirmed in the customer’s quotation, specification or other project documentation.

Quotations

Any quotation provided by Opal Living will be based on the information, measurements and requirements available when it is prepared.

The quotation will identify the products and services included within the quoted price.

Additional work, products or alterations requested after a quotation or specification has been approved may result in additional charges or changes to the project timescale.

Where reasonably possible, significant additional costs will be discussed with the customer before the additional work proceeds.

Measurements and Site Conditions

Accurate measurements are important when designing, manufacturing and installing bespoke kitchen components.

Final measurements and specifications may need to be confirmed following a site visit or final survey.

In some cases, previously concealed structural, electrical, plumbing or other site conditions may only become apparent once work begins.

Where unforeseen circumstances require additional work or changes to the agreed specification, these will be discussed with the customer as soon as reasonably possible.

Orders and Bespoke Products

Some kitchen components, products and materials may be manufactured, ordered or altered specifically for an individual customer.

Customers should carefully review and approve designs, measurements, colours, materials, finishes and specifications before bespoke manufacturing or specialist ordering begins.

Changes requested after manufacturing or ordering has commenced may affect the price, availability or expected project timescale.

Prices and Payments

The price of each kitchen project and the applicable payment arrangements will be confirmed within the customer’s quotation, order documentation or contract.

Where deposits, stage payments or final balances are required, these will be explained as part of the individual project agreement.

General prices or information displayed on the website should not be treated as confirmation of the final price of a particular kitchen project.

Changes to Your Project

We understand that customers may occasionally wish to change elements of their kitchen after the original design has been agreed.

Where reasonably possible, Opal Living will consider requested changes and advise whether they affect:

Any significant changes and associated additional costs should be agreed before the revised work proceeds.

Installation

Installation dates and estimated timescales will be discussed as part of each individual project.

Customers should provide reasonable access to the property during the agreed installation period and ensure that the working area is accessible.

Opal Living will make reasonable efforts to carry out agreed services within the stated or estimated timescale.

However, unforeseen site conditions, supplier delays, product availability and circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect the programme.

Where a significant delay occurs, we will endeavour to keep the customer informed.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information relating to their property and project requirements.

Customers should inform Opal Living of any known issues or restrictions that could reasonably affect the design, delivery or installation, including access restrictions or known structural, electrical or plumbing concerns.

Any additional responsibilities relating to an individual project may be detailed within the quotation, specification or project agreement.

Materials, Finishes and Appliances

Natural and manufactured materials may display variations in colour, pattern, grain, texture and appearance.

Natural timber, stone and similar products may contain individual variations that form part of the character of the material.

Colours and finishes shown in photographs, samples or on digital screens may also differ slightly from the finished product.

Customers should review relevant samples and specifications before final approval where a particular appearance or finish is important.

Product Availability

Products, appliances and materials may be subject to supplier or manufacturer availability.

If an agreed product becomes unavailable, Opal Living will discuss suitable alternatives with the customer.

We will not make a significant substitution that materially affects the agreed specification or price without discussing it with the customer wherever reasonably possible.

Cancellations

Cancellation rights may depend on the type of goods or services ordered, how the agreement was entered into and the stage the project has reached.

This may be particularly relevant where products have already been ordered, manufactured or altered specifically for an individual customer.

Customers wishing to cancel or make significant changes to an order should contact Opal Living as soon as possible.

Any cancellation costs, retained payments or refunds will be handled in accordance with the individual agreement and applicable UK consumer law.

Consumer Rights

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory rights available to consumers.

Goods supplied should meet applicable legal requirements, including requirements relating to description, satisfactory quality and fitness for purpose.

Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

We will review the matter and discuss appropriate steps to resolve the issue where necessary.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law.
